26th Nov 2023 - Allington Archers Indoor Shoot

Great result for the club members attending the recent Allington Castle Archers Indoor Shoot in Maidstone.

9th Sep 2023 - Sevenoaks Archery Club Championships

The field was set out for Western 60’s for the grown ups and western 40’s for the juniors, for the 8 dozen arrow round.

The tournament was very well attended, even being the hottest day of the year.

Shortly after an AGM filled lunch, a speech was made in remembrance of the passing of Bill Terry (President and Chair SAC). By tradition, a longbow arrow was shot in his honour.

Bill will be remembered for his incredible contribution to archery and unwavering support of the Sevenoaks Archery Club as well as the West Kent Archery Society.



As the shooting continued into the afternoon, temperatures were getting hotter and so was the competition.


The final scores were delivered by Jeremy and awarded for their sterling achievements and progress in archery.


On one of the junior targets was an unusual Robin Hood -  James successfully destroyed one of Sophie’s arrows. Mushroomed!!

9th July 2023 - Sevenoaks Archery Club, Junior Tournament


We hosted our first friendly junior tournament in the spirit of encouraging young archers to develop their skills and to get a feel for actual tournament conditions.

The event started at around 10:30am with 9 juniors, in total all of mixed ability and bow type. The round was a double Warwick that was shot at 40 yards and 30 yards by all and the scores were settled using their handicaps for the day.

With music played by Gary and fair weather ordered by Jamie, it made for an ideal day for shooting.


Colour prizes were awarded to the following archers:

Best gold - Alex

Best red - Matilda

Best blue - Matilda 

Best black - Belle

Best white - Matilda

Dave - Gold for barebow

Harry - Silver for overall junior

Aaron - Bronze for overall junior

Paul Baker got a PB & broke 700 for his Western, retaining his club record!

12th March 2023 - Fox Archers, 11th Portsmouth Competition Results

We had a great turnout with 11 club members attending the recent Fox Archers' Competition held at West Heath School in Sevenoaks.

This included 5 juniors and for some this tournament was their first ever competition.


We had some great results:

Sophie Vos - 2nd Junior Ladies Recurve, with Rose Atkinsons coming a close 3rd by 3 points!
